Developing the workforce

An NZQA accredited Private Training Establishment, Wellcare Education specialises in a range of courses for people working in the health and disability sector.

Wellcare Education’s mission is to provide in partnership, quality education and training for learners that is individualised and responsive to participants’ training needs.

Training provided throughout New Zealand ranges from short courses such as Person Centred Dementia  to a variety of NZQA national qualifications. These include the National Certificates in Community Support Services: Foundations Skills (L2), Core Competencies (L3), Residential (L3), Intellectual Disabilities (L3), Human services (L3). In addition NZQA unit standard training for Workplace Assessors and Workplace Verifiers.Training is delivered either in the workplace, or in NZQA approved sites.

Wellcare Education understands that people learn in different ways and therefore offers a variety of training methods – face to face with specialist tutors and on the job or computer-based – so that people can learn in the way that suits them best.

Wellcare Education provides specialist literacy support to learners who have identified needs for support.  Literacy and numeracy activities are embedded appropriately in all learning assessment material.
